Some Damn Good Storytelling in Dublin, Ohio

by Nate Riggs on February 15, 2010

This post has one purpose.

I’d like to give a well deserved hat tip to my good friend, Eric Leslie, and his extremely talented collaborators at Palestra Creative for their amazing work on producing the Six Degrees of Dublin video documentary series.  I’m a huge fan of what they are doing for two reasons:

  1. These guys are working to point the spotlight on Central Ohio by using the social web.
  2. Both Palestra and Eric’s company OnScene Media & Marketing are 2 more examples of Columbus-based start-ups, absolutely worth your attention.
  3. It’s just damn good film work.  Hands-down artistry.

I’m going to shut up now and let you watch for yourself.  Here’s the trailer for some background…

And here’s Episode One of Six Degrees of Dublin

How Would You Handle Someone Slamming Your Business on the Social Web?

by Nate RiggsNovember 18, 2009

The social web is amazing because now, anyone with an internet connection can become a publisher and have their voice be heard.  It takes hours of time and hard work to be successful, but the tools are readily available.  Heck, you can even use a good portion of the tools for free.
But wide access [...]

Automated Messages Start Online Conversations

by Nate RiggsNovember 9, 2009

Yesterday, I turned 29.
I spent this weekend surrounded by good friends and good times.  My buddy Matt Christian and I watch the Bucks dominate Penn State while we spun out ideas for start up companies and drank Magic Hat #9.  You should keep an eye out for Matt.  He’s sharp, and has some big things [...]

Build Brand Armies by Seeding Conversations

by Nate RiggsOctober 27, 2009

It’s almost the end of 2009, and you and I both know the social web is about conversations between humans. We’ve figured that part out.  Organizations, events, products and services – none of these things really have the ability to communicate.  They’re things that have messages.  But behind those things with messages, their are people.  [...]

It’s getting close to Halloween and the smell of pumpkins is in the air.  OK, not really.  But you know we will be seeing a ton of these veggies floating around through Thanksgiving.  There’s even the Circleville Ohio Pumpkin Show happening later this month.  The family event is a great time with lots of good [...]
