HubSpot Partner Program – Talking with CEO, Brian Halligan
Have you heard of HubSpot? If you’re on Facebook and your profile contains a few keywords related to marketing or internet, chances are you may have seen a webinar or a banner ad touting the orange logo. HubSpot is a brilliant inbound marketing suite for small to medium sized businesses. This SaaS application is fully integrated with tools that allow you to maintain and optimize your website, generate and nurture leads, analyze and tweak your sales funnel, generate reports on the results. If you want more of HubSpot’s story, just check out this video by CEO and MIT graduate, Brian Halligan. Brian does a nice job filling you on how and why he and his college buddy Dharmesh Shah decided to found the start-up in 2006. Both of these guys have some seriously impressive backgrounds and accomplishments as entrepreneurs. My advice: follow them and learn as much as you can. They both have track records of developing concepts and companies that end up generating millions in revenue. HubSpot’s Partner Program While I was at the Inbound Marketing Summit in Boston earlier this month, I had the chance to meet Brian. Just by chance, we ended up sitting on the same couch while catching up on emails. He was kind enough to let me in on details of new partner program being launched at HubSpot. If you’re from a small to medium sized marketing firm, pay attention to this. It could make a big difference in how you approach your clients in 2010. Brian, Dharmesh and the rest of their team at HubSpot are doing great things for businesses who are using the web. If you want to stay up on what’s coming down the pipeline for them, as well as the latest methods and tactics in inbound marketing, subscribe to [...]

We’re coming up on the end of day one at The 2009 Inbound Marketing Summit, and the only way I can describe the experience is that it’s kind of like being at a web geek’s Disney World. Keep watching the blog. I’ve been lucky enough to have the chance to get a few really interesting interviews so far, and have some more lined up tomorrow. The culture of the event is just as you would expect at a social media driven conference. So many people are here with great ideas, and everyone is friendly and willing to help.  We learned this last night and this morning when we made some friends at the Tweetup with Gary Vaynerchuk. By the way, Gary is one of the most engaging speakers I’ve ever seen, and he is somehow able to pull off cussing like a sailor when he’s in front of an audience. [One bummer - we're not allowed to video the presentations.  That's understandable, but still a bummer.] Here’s some footage of the start of day one. Many thanks again to Todd Van Hoosear for being a really sharp, down-to-earth and cool guy and helping us out! There are a few more posts with interviews following this one, so stay tuned. Today, you’ll hear from AJ Gerritson, Founding Partner of 451 Marketing. AJ was a panelist for the “Innovative Marketing Programs Using New Media” discussion. I was also stoked to get a few minutes with Brian Halligan, Co-Founder & CEO of HubSpot. HubSpot is one of the best-in-class social web monitoring systems that has a presence here. It’s a great web service and, if you’re in the marketing agency world, you won’t want to miss what he has to say. And don’t forget to check in on Chery’s blog as [...]
