Apparently yesterday’s post on Human Business Teams, and what is now formerly known as TasteCasting, created a firestorm of comments and debate on the nature of reviews and disclosure.
Lots of people chimed in and the discussion continues to be productive. If you’re interested in seeing how all that panned out, click the link above and scroll down to the comments. By all means, feel free to add your own take too.
The Nature of Conversation
What’s funny is that my post was never really about TasteCasting or disclosure or tainted brands. It was meant to be an example of how teams of humans can work together to bring business-related content to the web.
Human Business Teams DO content and conversational marketing.
On a side note, TaseCasting is no more, but Jason and I still think the model can work. We’ll be building a Human Business Team in the next few weeks to help out LifeCare Alliance (the local nonprofit where Sarah works) to promote their Taste of L.A. Catering event in the fall.
LifeCare Alliance (LCA) funds programs in Columbus like Meals on Wheels, The Columbus Cancer Clinic, Project Open Hand and numerous others. Jason and I will be coordinating this Human Business Team pro bono. That means no bags of money will be exchanged by anyone. And yes, the team will taste the food from L.A. Catering for free – just like everyone else at the event. Cool?
If any of you in Columbus (or even those who live in close proximity) want to lend a hand, we’re looking for help. I want you to be involved and be on the Human Business Team. If you work in marketing, sales or do social media for your company, this will be a great experience. At the very least, Jason, Cheryl myself and other Columbus cool kids will teach you some new media tricks.
You game? If so, contact me here and I’ll put you on the list. Please leave a note about Taste of LA Catering so that I know you’re interested…
