I was really happy with how 2009 came together for me, in terms of speaking and events.  This has always been something I have been passionate about, and I humbly credit Michael Bowers with giving me my first big opportunity at last year’s Ohio Growth Summit.  Last year’s conference was out of this world, with Chris Brogan as the keynote.

But Mike’s already working on this year’s event and I’m pitching in to help.  It’s going to be jam-packed with new, helpful content, amazing speakers and even a few new twists.  If you’ve never attended OGS, do it in 2010.  You’ll gain a lot by being around the attendees.  I did.  I still am.

The latter half of 2009 was spent brainstorming new ideas for presentation content that will help you learn how to apply the social web to your business.  The hype about things like Facebook, Twitter and all the other shiny objects is over. You already know that, though.  Ready to move on?  Good.

2010 is a year for application of the basic concepts we’ve all discussed to death.  2010 is the year you (and I) find new ways to drive towards objectives and measure success using new technologies, and human business concepts.

That’s what I’m planning to talk about this year when I speak.  And now I have the help of the very talented Marie Elizabeth to dig up even more information and ideas that will hopefully help you integrate human business concepts into your own communication strategy.

I’ll be speaking at a ton of upcoming events, the first of which takes place this Wednesday with the Young Professionals of Columbus, centering on the topic: Networking 2.0: Combating the Myths and Making Connections

Here’s the lowdown on who’s going to be sharing ideas:

Together, we’ll explore the gamut of social networking tools, focusing on how each can help professionals build relationships that can lead to jobs, business partners and expansion of their own network and personal brand.

What About Your Event?
This is totally shameless self-promotion.  If that bothers you, just skip the rest of this post.  But if it doesn’t, and you’re looking to hire someone who can help get your audience up to speed (and really fired up) about how technology and human business concepts can help them in their business, we should talk.

[Shameless self-promotion has ended :) ]
