Steve Garfield Video Experiment at Inbound Marketing Summit

by Nate Riggs on October 8, 2009

This was just cool as hell. Steve-Garfield-video-blog

Video blogger Steve Garfield gave a great presentation at the Inbound Marketing Summit.  At the end, he asked anyone with a video device to come up front and shoot.

Here’s Steve footage from the stage.  I was in a lucky spot to get asked a few questions (and now my bald-ass head is on his YouTube channel!)

Here’s my footage from the floor.

The Impact
I’ve never seen anything like this, but it was a really cool experience.  Instantly, the social web was flooded with documented experiences from an army of social web publishers, and as I type this post, there are hundreds of uploads and blogs being published at the same time.  That Internet presence will be indexed by Google, and will live in the web indefinitely.

Thanks, Steve.  You kick ass!

What do you think of this?  How could you apply the concept of using an army to create content?

@Eric I hear you, but I’m used to holding it in portrait mode for photos… I’ll try to remember to rotate it next time, but the portrait mode video look cool.
