Chris Brogan chatted with me this morning via video on chrisbrogan.com, about an incident where an unnamed blogger approached George Smith Jr. of Crocs and apparently demanded free products by making a threat of writing negative content if George didn’t give in to the blogger’s demands.

[Boo. Hisssss.]

Here’s my thoughts on the incident:

Major props to Chris for supporting George and using the power of his social capital for good over evil. And to the ghost blackmail blogger – good luck following through on your threat. Because the communication moves so fast and there are ethical people behind some if it, you have just been effectively trumped by a bigger player in the game.

Here’s what I think of you and your crappy ethics…

    I wouldn’t worry to much about any blogger who may think they have some type of power over businesses or anyone else for that matter. That is the dark side, and everyone knows… the dark side looses, ask Darth Vader… Yeah!!!
