Who’s coming to WordCamp Columbus tomorrow? This is going to be an awesome event! A sincere thank you and hat tip should go out to Jason Blanton and Alvin Borromeo for all their hard work in planning this uber cool gathering.
I was stoked when they asked me to participate. But I’m just the moderator for tomorrow and will leave the real knowledge sharing to my good friends and SEO gurus who have agreed to spend some time answering your questions. What’s interesting about these three individuals is that all of them worked together in a Florida-based SEO firm called Your Marketing Corner.

Jacob Stoops, People To My Site
My dude Jake is an SEO sniper in every sense of the word. Jake takes on more in one week than most of us do in a month, working his full-time gig as an SEO Strategist for Columbus-based People To My Site. Jake is also a student at The Ohio State University, currently earning his degree in web design which will make him even more lethal in his trade. You may be wondering: “Why all the references to violence and shooting, Nate?” . In Jake’s free time, he publishes his WordPress blog entitled, Agent SEO where he shares valuable tips and tricks on how bloggers and internet marketers can hit the bulls eye of their target audience. Jake just released a new version of his blog so check it out and offer some feedback if you can.
Evan Metelko, PayEx Corp.
Evan is a rock star in content creation and positioning copy for the right SEO keyword density. When she’s not training with me to compete in sprint and Olympic triathlons, this SEO guru keeps herself busy with account management responsibilities at PayEx Credit Card Processing, a local company helping customers create custom credit card solutions for e Commerce websites. Part of Evan’s responsibilities includes managing and optimizing the PayEx’s corporate blog. Evan graduated from OSU in 2007 and immediately secured a position as an account manager with Your Marketing Corner. She returned to Ohio to take the position with Pay-Ex.
Eric Leslie, OnScene Media & Marketing
Eric is one more product of a gig with Your Marketing Corner, directing agency operations while with the firm. Today, Eric is the president and owner of OnScene Media & Marketing. Eric works with multiple non-profit organizations and for profit-business to provide fully optimized and socially integrated websites, both on the WordPress platform as well as via his proprietary SiteMaster application. You can see some of Eric’s web design and SEO work here and here. Eric will also be speaking later in the afternoon at 3:00PM in room 409 on Key Tools for Creating a Custom WordPress Theme.
